advICo announces availability of a IHP SG25H1/TM1TM2 Design Kits for the new version 8.04 of Analog Office (AO 2008). The Design Kit includes Inductors for TM2, as well as the new added SVaricap. Analog Office is a RF design suite from Applied Wave Research Inc. (AWR). advICo will perform the tape-in service for IHP for all designs made with the AO-Kit.

Since the advICo team has been constantly growing in the last years it was time to move to a new office. You'll find advICo still in the beautiful city core of Recklinghausen but at Münsterstrasse 13-15, a little closer to the railway station.

2. Sept 2008: Summer school for microelectronics: From Technology to Circuit - Analog Circuit Design embedded in a Vertical Research Environment

17-Apr-2006: New XOR-check for Layout Comparison in Cadence

advICo offers a new exclusive-or test (XOR) for layout comparison which is available as part of our tools library. Results are graphically stored and also logged to a file. The check runs with our IHP kits but can be also purchased for use with other technologies.

5-Jan-2006: SG25 Premium Design Kits available

advICos latest SG25 design kit is now also available from IHP as a premium design kit. The premium kit will contain licenses for our productivity tools (like LENa, UpdateCDF and onGrid-GUI) as well as a small digital CMOS standard cell library.

25-May-2005: advICo announces development of Cadence Design Kits for IHPs new 0.13u BIC1 process.

advICo announces development of the design kit for IHPs upcoming BIC1 process. BIC1 will offer bipolar devices with unparalleled performance (about 300 GHz f_T) at competitive price. The design kits will allow verification with Diva and Assura and also push-button filler generation, as our other design kits.

24-May-2005: advICo announces new releases of Cadence Design Kits

advICo announces new releases of Cadence(TM) Design Kits with Diva and Assura support for IHPs world class 0.25um BiCMOS technology platforms SGB25 and SG25 for 20-June-2005. Among the different technology options npn-HBTs exceeding 200GHz f_T/f_max, pnp-HBTs exceeding 80GHz f_T/f_max and LDMOS devices exceeding 12V BVDS can be found. Standard metallization has thick 4th aluminum metal, an additional thick 5th aluminum metal is available as an option. The design kits support Cadence versions 4.4.6 and higher and are tested on SUN/Solaris and PC/Linux. Verification can be done with Diva(TM) or Assura(TM). The new kits support push-button filler generation both in Diva and Assura. Numerous tools for productivity enhancement are available as addons to the Virtuoso(TM) platform.

14-Apr-2005: advICo provides new design tools

advICo provides a new tool library for design conversion from IHPs SGC25 technology platform to the new and enhanced SG25 technology platform. The conversion tools comprise removal of shrink factor as well as conversion of pCell parameters for selected devices and automatic correction of all kinds of off-grid errors.

30-Sept-2004: 3rd IHP Workshop on High-Performance SiGe:C BiCMOS for Wireless and Broadband Communication at IHP's site in Frankturt(Oder), Germany.

During the workshop several contributors from IHP and the industry will present the technology roadmap for the 0.25u and upcoming 0.13u SiGe:C BiCMOS processes, EDA support and silicon success stories.

advICo presents the new Cadence(TM) design kit families for the IHPs technologies. In addition, advICo presents the new IP library with IP cells for these technologies. The IP-Libraries allow try-before-buy by means of encrypted ready-to-simulate netlists with testbench schematics.

1-June-2004: advICo design kits for IHP technologies available on Europractice.

Europractice provides access to IHPs world class BiCMOS technologies for MPW runs. advICo provides Cadence™ design kits and customer support for IHP. The kits for the SGC25 technology family (with transit frequencies up to 200GHz) and SGB25 technology family (e.g. with 25V LDMOS devices) are now also available via Europractice. The kits work with Cadence releases 4.4.x and 5.x and support workstations and PCs (tested on Solaris and Linux).
